I'm a 20 something spunky girl, who began painting in 2003 in her home, thanks to the gentle prodding of a good friend. (Thank you Rho) I am self taught on the painting side, in all my techniques, with a little help from some lessons learned by watching Bob Ross as a kid. I am currently in college, studying art and psychology. I've been tossing around the idea of sharing my work with the public for some time now, and since I was recently laid off from my job at the school, I figured, what better time then now to concentrate on doing something I love?
My artwork is done with pure emotion. Most of it begins by slapping some color on a canvas and seeing where it goes from there. I am continually struggling with overcoming my perfectionist side, and art, most notably painting, forces me to let that go.
You may be wondering about the name of the gallery? Yes, there was a Jake Ob. He is no longer with us, and my husband and I truly miss him. Here's to you buddy. Lots of love for our sleeping lab pup.
